The N.C. Forest Service (NCFS) helps landowners ensure the forests of North Carolina
remain beautiful, healthy and productive for generations to come. To accomplish this,
we help with woodland management planning, financial assistance through cost share
programs, native and improved tree seedlings through our Nursery and Tree
Improvement program, insect and disease control, education and outreach, wildfire
prevention and suppression, recreational and educational state forests, site preparation,
tree planting, prescribed burning and much more.
